On April 23, LL&P had its 98th Annual Meeting.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the format was much different than in years past. Attendance was limited to the board of directors and LLP’s executive staff—all attending remotely via web conference.
Here are a few of the highlights:
Election results. A quorum of members was attained via mail-in and online ballots cast. Three candidates competed for 2 open board positions. The candidates and number of votes each received are as follows: Tom McDonald, 336; Alan Hart, 324; and Kerry Hills, 103. Thank you to all three candidates. Congratulations to incumbents Tom and Alan, who were reelected to three-year terms.
Scholarship recipients. Jillian Campbell of Lakes High School, Valeria Gaspar- Govea of Harrison Prep, and Samantha Nelson of Clover Park High School were each awarded $2,000 scholarships. Additionally, Clover Park Technical College students, Sarah Hall and Todd Ritchie, each received $1,000 scholarships.
Prize winners. Scott and Kay McKay won the Google Nest Learning Thermostat.
